I'd like some recommendations for web monitoring services.
I didn't know such services existed! 1. Can someone give recommendations. 2. Should I monitor EVERY single website I'm hosting or important ones only? 3. I've come accross Hyperspin and Siteuptime: I think I'm right in saying that both offer free monitoring for one site. What's to stop someone using their free services to monitor unlimited domains?? Thanks. |

It seems these services really all do the same thing - I say give it a shot. I don't imagine that it takes too much out of them to monitor a site - especially if they give you a little banner code to make it work. If that's the case, your site is really just a billboard for them in their eyes; and I'm sure they'll more than make up for their costs in ad revenues on their sites..

http://siteuptime.com/ - its free up to 30 min interval. Shorter intervals you have to pay. But it works fine. http://www.websitepulse.com/ not free, it's the best we know, we use it for all servers __________________ |

You might need to monitor your POP3, SMTP, HTTPS, DNS to make sure everything's fine or you may monitor some of your website in just one control panel.
