Need recommendations for web monitoring services.

I'd like some recommendations for web monitoring services.
I didn't know such services existed!

1. Can someone give recommendations.

2. Should I monitor EVERY single website I'm hosting or important ones only?

3. I've come accross Hyperspin and Siteuptime: I think I'm right in saying that both offer free monitoring for one site.
What's to stop someone using their free services to monitor unlimited domains??

It seems these services really all do the same thing - I say give it a shot. I don't imagine that it takes too much out of them to monitor a site - especially if they give you a little banner code to make it work. If that's the case, your site is really just a billboard for them in their eyes; and I'm sure they'll more than make up for their costs in ad revenues on their sites..

http://siteuptime.com/ - its free up to 30 min interval. Shorter intervals you have to pay. But it works fine.

http://www.websitepulse.com/ not free, it's the best we know, we use it for all servers

You might need to monitor your POP3, SMTP, HTTPS, DNS to make sure everything's fine or you may monitor some of your website in just one control panel.
