If you are not an expert, I think that being a reseller will be a good choice for you.
If you are experienced enough, you can own hosting and than resell it, but you should know all possible promotional methods which will generate traffic to your website.

Hello
The world of reseller hosting might be a little confusing to some. However, with the right tips in hand – anybody can be a reseller hosting success. In a nut shell, reseller hosting is a form of web site hosting where the account owner has the ability to use their allotted space and bandwidth to host their own or a third parties’ web site. The account owner can sell the allotted space and bandwidth to the third party in question, and (in most cases) make a profit.

To help you get started in the world of reseller web hosting, here are a few tips you might look into or follow:

* Start off small. Don’t think you have to sell 10 or 20 accounts in one day. Start out with a couple, and expand as need.
* You don’t actually have to sell the space. It is up to you how you want to setup the web sites on it.
* Go to friends and family members first, if you are looking for your own customers.
* Go visit webmaster related forums, and look for web site designers or customers that might be looking for a new or a different web host. Then pitch your own service to them.
* Look for your own unique perks or services you can give to your own clients you are reselling to, so that you can make a good first impression.

Hi,
Reseller web hosting is a great means of using the internet and starting a home based business that is quite profitable and needs very little start-up cost. It is one of the most popular options while choosing from a website hosting plan. It is the practice of buying a reseller hosting plan or dedicated server from a particular web hosting company and selling their products and services in small chunks to users in your company's name. They do not have their own servers or any technical belongings but they can make their own custom web reseller accounts in order to resell to customers.

Web hosting reseller is a popular internet business that is similar to affiliate marketing and since you earn money online, your role is integral in the website hosting service sector. You should be thorough about all the features you can offer to your clients, as this will help you to convince your customers get greater revenues. You are able to design your own package and attract the varied group of customers. With more diverse kind of services, you can broaden your market scope. The process of reseller web hosting involves purchasing services and products from a Web Hosting Company and then use their hardware, software and networking resources to do your business.

Check who certifies the secure connection certificates, but in some situations that'd require you having had bought the service beforehand! All this depends on which reseller you choose.
Can you go for some direct selling from a hosting company overseas via the internet?

I think that Reseller hosting is better.Reseller hosting plans are the new ones to hit the market. This unique kind of hosting is great option for both clients and web hosts. It saves great amount of money for clients and gives large amount of profitability for web hosting companies. Web hosting reseller program provide facility of using disk space and band width from their server to their account holders. They can do this on the part of third party, as the reseller pays for the services of the hosting and then further sells these services to clients. Most of the time these resellers take servers on rent from hosting companies and then provide their customers with web hosting services at comparative discounted rates. Usually resellers take permission from hosting company to use their hard disk space and bandwidth for the expressed purpose.
Thanks

Lightbulb Start your hosting from a reseller. - 04-30-2010 , 07:23 AM

My suggestion is to start the hosting from a small reseller package, compare the prices, check the resources provided, so comapny offer master reseller program, dns masking, own branding and super site. You can intrigrate the domain reseller services also, like super site from the top leading domain registrar. try to add some stuff like free website builted templates, chat support on your web, these thing really works. Good Luck..
