Default Simplehelix.com? - 07-09-2008 , 01:01 PM

Hello!
I'm looking for the opinion on this web hosting: Simplehelix.com. On their shared accounts. What can you say me about them?

I see that SimpleHelix.com offers shared hosting for personal web sites and commercial web sites. Pricing is competitive and multi-featured plans they offer to their customers.
Think they are worth to be tried.

Have looked through SimpleHelix.com plans ... dare say they look impressive for me. They are good for big commercial projects as well as for personal web masters' needs.
I like them.

SimpleHelix.com has won the award of the top 10 fastest growing hosting company from HostReview.com.
Think this fact speaks for itself.

I have found out that Simplehelix.com specializes in providing Magento e-commerce software for their clients.
@ OP, are you going to host your web site with them?

Simplehelix.com uses special server software, as I suppose it is better for the eCommerce sites.

They have only two wehosting plans it may mean they are some specialized provider...

Simplehelix.com uses Litespeed server instead of apache, which is far more faster than apache. Good for eCommerce, as it is alredy said, for wordpress.

Here comes some information about the Litespeed server, provided by simplehelix.com:

LiteSpeed Web Server is a high-performance, secure, easy-to-use, and Apache interchangeable Web server. It supports HTTP/1.1, SSL, CGI, FastCGI, LSAPI, PHP, JSP, Servlets, GZIP compression, chroot, IP level throttling, connection accounting, DoS attack prevention, and instant recovery mechanisms. With its Apache compatible rewrite engine, .htaccess, and MS FrontPage support, migration is quick and easy. A Web interface is included for administration and configuration. It can be used as a content accelerator, compression proxy, or a security guard running in front of any Web and application server.

Third version has the following changes:

The Web admin console has been completely revamped, with a streamlined layout and improved configuration parsing and processing to handle 1000+ virtual hosts. Apache mod_security compatible request filtering has been added. Third party Web hosting control panels, like cPanel, DirectAdmin, and Plesk, are fully supported. Sendfile() support is enabled for the standard edition. This release has IP to GeoLocation database support and customizable access log format. 64bit binaries have been added for the Enterprise version. The external application process manager has been improved.

simplehelix.com is a great provider, especially for eCommerce deals. Also taking into attention the above post, I think there is a sence in contacting them to know if they support and offer cPanel.
