I have my own dedicated server and run about 8 websites on it. I am by no means a tech guy just a back yard computer geek who doesn't have much experience with servers. My server info is as follows:
Memory: 2 GB Monthly Transfer: 2500 GB Operating System: CENTOS 5.4 x86_64 standard Port Speed: 100 Mbit Port Primary Hard Drive : 500 GB SATA II Private Net: 100 Mbit PrivateNet Processor: AMD Opteron 1218 cPanel 11.25.0-R43473 - WHM 11.25.0 - X 3.9 config server firewall and mailscanner package installed My question is how do I set it up that when someone fills out a form on my website the actual email gets sent to the admin without using the root@myserver.com as the sending address, but uses the actual website address that the form resides on (info@mywebsite.com)? Hopefully I'm making sense so that someone can point me in the right direction. |

Hello friends
I sometimes compose from Windows Mail and from my Gmail accounts which all POP into my Windows Mail..My problem is that each outgoing email I write in either Mail or in one of my Gmail accounts ends up in the Mail inbox as a new incoming email, rather than sent mail...This is annoying because I use my Mail program to notify me of incoming mail to my various gmail accounts. I don't even care if I keep a copy of my outgoing mail on my Mail account, as there should still be one on the Gmail account it was written in...I just don't want my outgoing mail to set off the Windows Mail incoming mail alarm.... Is this possible, or have I completely F****d the question beyond salvation? Clearly I"m an idiot, so please keep that in mind as you compose your answer..I have no idea what a mail client is...unless he has a checkbook... Thanks for all guys |
