Arrow What is better? A big hosting company or an average (smaller) one? - 07-17-2008 , 09:23 AM

Hello guys!
I want to know your opinion. I want not so big disk space and bandwidth. Is it better to buy a hosting in a big company or in a smaller one? Share your thoughts.
Thanks in advance.

I would say middle sized one is the best one.
I think that you will know with no regret with companies like webhostgiant.com, serverpoint.com, westhost.com, AYKsolutions.com

I suppose big companies are only good for huge business of enterprises and corporations, but for single client they are not as good. You may get lost among the big amount of other clients, or oversold.

Agree about the middle sized companies, which are nevertheless reputble and stable. Ahosting.biz is one of those I believe. Their pricing is affordable and service is very good.

I absolutely agree with both guys, because it is really better for you to deal with so-called middle-sized hosting company, which will not allow to get lost and will explain you everything you need.

Personally I try to avoid big companies, despite many people say they are happy with hostgator or , say, bluehost. I think there are many risks coupled with hosting with a big company.

The average companies like MMhosting.com, or Webhostgiant.com are better option to choose, because they do not forget about their customers and provide quality services for everyone.

But that doesn't mean any companywhich is average-sized is good. Before any sign up try to find as many information as you can, and only after it make a decision.

briefly: +1 to average size companies.

I am a smaller co. owner myself. Most of my customers have been with me for 5 years, and have stayed with me because I can provide one on one support. I dont put a number on them, I dont push them off with canned answers. I have worked with larger companies as well as data centers for myself and hate that.

It all depends on the company, the owners, and the staff.

Absolute true. If the company is large they do not pay attention towards one certain client because they hyave thousands of others, and the loss of one is not fear for them. The average sized companies are more attentiveas they are aimed on getting clients, and not loosing them.

I know the one of the reliable companies is MMhosting.com - they are good company to start business or just host a site: cheap and reliable services, not big size, lots of free bonuses - seemed attractive for me.

Though I try to avoid dealing with very large companies, I suppose size of the company is not the determinant for the service quality. Bioth Small and big company may appear good as well as bad.

Everything depends on what are you going t host and how much are you going to pay for it.

Small companies are more preferable as they take a better care of their clients.

Yes, true. Small-middle-sized hosting company would be better for you. If you wish, you can check out 24HostingNow.com.
