Default help to improve loading time for site made in PHP - 11-16-2005 , 11:12 AM


Hi........

I am a beginner. I have developed website in Php/MySql. But my home page takes some more time to load in some of the browsers

Can Mysql stored procedures help me? I don't know the concepts of stored procedures. If any buddy in group knows
pl. help me

Its very urgent. Your feedback/suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Try moving all your javascript into an external file.
Compress all your images.
Try to use css - to replace tables - tables must be rendered by the browser, so it will display slowly with so many tables on one page.

That should help.

That's an unusually large amount of content for a web page, especially a main page. I'd try breaking it down a bit - both for the sake of load time and for navigation purposes. Try making the focus of this page more to draw people in - not to show them everything you've got.
